NEC FlexPower, an "all in one" solution for SMEs

It is possible to increase FlexPower capacity on request: storage and blade servers can increase in number according to needs. This enables the product to support the company as it develops.

Its evolutionary, modular design lets you add blades (up to 6) and storage (up to 14 2.5” disks, giving up to 8.4Tb* of raw storage) according to the intended use.

NEC Computers’ FlexPower offers simplified operation at a lower cost.
Administration is simplified with its “FlexPower Manager” software, which enables the system to be managed remotely using a simple web interface. The management system is fully integrated, simple and intuitive: the administrator can see all components and control them remotely using the console, just as if they were in front of the system!

Very practical for small businesses, this solution is silent and mobile: its sound footprint is reduced (equivalent to a PC) with its optional "ActiveSilencer” case.

Note that its low electricity consumption enables you to reduce energy costs by 30%!

This solution contains up to 6 computer modules, each fitted with 2 Intel Xeon six or four core processors making it both more powerful, more frugal in terms of electricity consumption and able to strengthen virtualisation and consolidation capabilities.
 

With the NEC FlexPower, businesses can see an increase in performance 63% higher for pure calculation and up to 50% for database or ERP type business applications while consolidating administration costs and strengthening security.

The level of performance is optimised with:

• The improved in memory capacity (max 96GB), support for a new generation of memory, DDR3 for lower consumption
• The integration of AES instructions to accelerate encryption and decryption operations to strengthen data security, in particuliar with virtual machines,
• Faster input/output bandwidth with improved data transfer
