The NEC T09A2 tape library is an entry range data backup solution which offers a cost-effective and space efficient data protection for SMB and organizations with limited rack space to automate their backup processes to reduce the need for manual intervention and the risk of human error. It offers both high data storage capacity and highly reliable robotics in a compact form factor.

The NEC T09A2 tape library offers also you protection from loss of data with a minimal impact on the operation of your IT system – regardless of the size or complexity of your application and storage environment.

The NEC T09A2 uses an advanced bar code reader to register the location of LTO bands. It is equipped with one removable magazine, and is capable of storing up to 27 TB of data in only 1U of rack space.

With its integrated remote management feature, the T09A2 tape library allows you to make reliable backups without monitoring. The management can be made either on the LCD screen located on the front of the library, or remotely, via an intuitive web interface, via any browser. The configuration, control and diagnostic operations are also simplified.

This open solution is compatible with the main backup software such as; Symantec Backup ExecTM and BrightStor ARCserveTM and is integrated within most operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Linux.

Compact solution for limited rack space

With a very compact form-factor, 1U of rack space, the NEC T09A2, can hold up to 9 cartridges for a native capacity of up to 13.5TB.

Simple use

The T09A2 tape library has a management feature which allows remote configuration and control of all functions, for example: check system status, run diagnostics, view system logs, check and set configuration, verify drive operations, run an inventory and manage the system. The management can be made of two manners: either on the LCD screen located on the front of the library, or remotely, via an intuitive web interface which can be accessed via the Ethernet connection through any standard web browser.
Furthermore, The NEC T09A2 library uses an advanced bar code reader to register the location of bands; therefore important data is saved more efficiently. As well as, the "anti-dust" technology integrated into the magazine allows a reduction of dust and wear of the band.

Dedicated LTO tape library

The NEC T09A2 supports up to one Ultrium LTO-5 tape drives. The tape technology offers better capacities, performance and increased security that can natively back up an impressive 1.5 TB of data per cartridge for a transfer rate of up to 280 MB/s.

The LTO-4 or LTO-5 tape drives allow you to double the storage capacity and to reduce your backup window.

They are available with WORM technology (Write Once, Read Many) to protect your data against any changes and modifications.
